The photo series “Spaces for Winds” explores the architecture and pre-winter transformation of Belgrade’s outskirts. Built during the times of Yugoslavia, these areas and buildings are some of the most prominent examples of development from the 1970s and 80s in communist countries. Large public spaces are typical for such areas; they are usually lively in the warm season but become a cold and windy wasteland with the onset of winter.
