Summary: This new temporary house is constructed using a panel system developed in collaboration with Daiwa Lease, a manufacturer of prefabricated homes. These structural panels are composed of urethane foam, sandwiched by fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP). This system can be customized to suit the lifestyle and climate of each country, and it reduces construction time and costs. These houses are meant to be produced locally in developing countries for low-income families, or to be supplied on a priority basis as temporary housing in the event of a natural disaster.
