<br/><br/> Mazatlán is a city on the Pacific Coast that maintains high temperatures and humidity for much of the year. It invites us to think about an architecture that has to address climate and consider the high degree of salinity of the site. The strategy for this school should aim to both minimize the impact of heat in the classroom – without losing natural illumination and a relationship to the outside – as well as the use of materials and building systems that would resist corrosion.
