The legendary 32-kilometre dike built by hand and realised in 1932 protects the Netherlands from water and is a unique place in the world. After 85 years of intensive use, it is now time for a large-scale renovation. Commissioned by the Dutch government, Roosegaarde’s Icoon Afsluitdijk contributes towards strengthening the iconic value of the Afsluitdijk. From today onwards, all of the designs on exhibit for Icoon Afsluitdijk are open to all and free to visit after sunset.
