| 520 | _aThis is a comparative study of single-family houses situated in and around Berlin, Germany. Following the pattern of the “typologies” of Bernd and Hilla Becher, I photographed these houses all under more or less consistent conditions. Although they are of similar dimensions, direct comparison reveals remarkable differences in their form and execution. The title of the series – EFH – takes up the common practice of planning offices to shorten the names of their projects to three-letter abbreviations. Furthermore, it is the abbreviation for the German word Einfamilienhaus which means single-family home. | ||
